Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Jacoby Jones has announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons. Jones made the announcement on his Instagram account on Tuesday, thanking his family, friends, coaches, and teammates for their support throughout his career.

Jones was a key member of the Ravens' Super Bowl XLVII championship team, returning a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown in the game. He also had a memorable performance in the 2012 AFC Divisional Round game against the Denver Broncos, returning a punt 70 yards for a touchdown and catching a 70-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco.

In addition to his time with the Ravens, Jones also played for the Houston Texans, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He finished his career with 203 catches for 2,733 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Jones' retirement marks the end of a successful NFL career for a player who was known for his speed, athleticism, and big-play ability. He will be remembered as one of the most exciting and dynamic players of his generation.
