Portugal remain in contention for a place at the 2022 World Cup after a 3-1 victory over Turkey in their UEFA World Cup play-off semi-final.

Substitute Matheus Nunes scored a late goal to seal the win for Portugal, who will now face North Macedonia in the final on Tuesday.

Portugal took the lead in the 15th minute through Otavio, but Turkey equalised just before half-time through Burak Yilmaz.

Diogo Jota restored Portugal's lead in the 65th minute, before Nunes made sure of the win with a fine strike in the 90th minute.

The result leaves Turkey's World Cup hopes hanging in the balance, while Portugal will be confident of reaching the finals in Qatar.
